The Kids!

We went to the State Fair. It was Stevie's first time. He absolutely loved seeing the tractors! If you look close enough to this picture though, you will see that he really is not happy. He was terrified to stand in the tire. And the wonderful mom I am, had to hurry and snap the picture!!

This kid is scared of nothing! (Well except for tractor wheels!) You had to pay a quarter to get some feed for the animals, but lucky for me, my brilliant son picked up feed on the ground that others had dropped! Such a good boy for saving me some money!!

The two kids just goofing off! Stevie just loves his little sister. He is always by her trying to make her happy! Here he laid by her and she was just watching him be his silly self!

Vail's

Sorry I have not posted in a long time. I have been quite busy lately, and then every time I try to post pictures on here the kids will start throwing fits. So, sorry no pictures yet and sorry for no posts!

Tim has started back to school yesterday, which is happy and sad. Its nice to get things back into more of a routine, but sad to not have the extra set of hands.

Our house is still a work in progress. We have picked out colors for our kitchen, yellow and maroon. It may not sound good, but when you see the colors, its really pretty. The colors in our bedroom are a camel color, brown, and burnt orange. I know that sounds a little halloweenish, but I like the colors together and Tim did too, so since we both agreed then we stuck to that! I want to paint now, (for those who dont know all walls are wood paneling). I would sand the walls, put some spackle on the cracks, prime and paint. But Tim wants to take all wood paneling out, put in studs and dry wall. That would be nice, but take forever. And make a huge mess. So I dont know what will happen. I also saw an ad on TV for carpet squares. I love this idea. You can interchange colors of the squares, etc. plus if you have a stain on one, just get a new square!! Tim, for those of you who know his latest phrase, thinks its white trash. UGH! I really dont think it is, hopefully I can talk him into one of my ideas.

HOUSE!!

We have finally moved into our house (pictures will be coming soon)! I love it! There is so much to do with organizing. I did not realize how hard that would be with two small children too. As I put things up Stevie is right behind me taking them down or getting other things out. So, I think I am getting things done, but turn around and see it all a mess again. I dont know when it will look organized, if ever! It is so much fun though, and there are so many more places to put things. I am not used to all this storage space, we even have empty drawers in the kitchen because I cant think of anthing to put in it. There are even drawers with one or two things in it! I am sure it wont stay that long though!!

I have so many ideas for what to do, its all a matter or which one to do first. I have a design idea for the kids' room (knights and dragons and princesses) but not the disney ones, like the older classic princess with the tall hat. The bathroom has beautiful green tiles which we found out were not really tiles but just plastic. That was disappointing. But no one will know, well ones that have not read this! I plan on adding some white to the walls to bring out the white in the tile. The kitchen, I want yellow! I have always wanted a yellow one, so I get it!! That is my favorite one, I cant wait! And anyone who really knows me, knows that I am not the cooking type, but I think I am starting!

Speaking of starting things, I cant wait to get a sewing machine. I want to make curtains, bedding, clothes, all kinds of things! I just need to get a machine. I was looking at walmart for things to make and have even more ideas to add to the rooms. Now all I wish is that we had an endless supply of money, which I know will not happen!

Pictures will come soon as I do a room. There will be before and afters. I would do some now, but they are a mess and would not look good at all. So, just wait!!! Or come over!!

Day 22 and still no house

Yes, we are still waiting to close. However, we have gotten some good news! We are closing on Thursday. I know we have been told that before but this time I believe is for real! I guess the only way to know will be on Thurs.

Also Last night were some crazy thunderstorms. Yes, they were awesome with lots of lightening. Something I have wanted to see for a long time. Adalyn woke up around 3 to eat and on the radio I heard them say that there was a tornado warning in our area. I told Tim, who woke up the people we are staying with. We then proceded to take our kids downstairs to wait it out. Nothing happened, thank goodness, but it was good that we were ready for it. Now all over the area is a bunch of flooding, and more thunderstorms on the way. It may be another crazy night!!

Day 17 without a house :(

Yes, it has been a long while since we have had our own place. We were supposed to close on our house on the 11th of June, but due to some issues with getting paperwork done it has not happened yet. The latest is that they need to have a written statement from Tim's work that he works there. REALLY, like the 4 pay stubs he has sent in is not good enough?? Why would they just send him pay checks if he did not work there? And this issue was not known about until just now? It has been a very frustrating experience. Thanks to many friends and family who have let us stay with them, they are awesome!!
We are supposed to close tomorrow, Friday the 18th, but we will see what happens. We should find out today if it is all going to happen tomorrow. I hope and pray it will. I think poor Stevie is confused about what is happening. Last night we kept saying, "go," and when I told him that we were staying where we were at he got mad. I am sure he has no idea why we are not going back to the apartment. So for his sake I hope we get there soon! Plus I am tired of living out of luggage and really want to get the rest of Adalyn's cute clothes!

Beginning
