Temple Trip

We went to the Louisville Kentucky Temple yesterday to do some family sealings.  Everyone in my family was able to attend, except for my brother Brian who is currently living in Seattle to be with his fiance and her family who are going through chemo.  It was such a neat experience.  Among all the family names were my dad and his brother.  We got to seal them to their parents, my grandparents.  I am so happy we were able to do this work so they can become an eternal family.  On the way to the temple we had a fun experience:

1. We were explaining to Stevie where we were going:
me: We are going to the Temple today and you are going to see, Gamma, Sherrie, Megan, Alex, Frank, Miranda, Owen, Marcus, and Laura. (after every name I said he repeated)
    Stevie: And Brian
Me: No Brian is in Seattle with Andrea
    A little while later. . . .
    Me: We are in Kentucky
    Stevie: Hi Tucky, Love you
Me: We are in Kentucky to see the Temple
    Stevie: Gamma?
Me:  Yes we will see Gamma there
    Stevie:  Gampa?
Me: looking at Tim, did he just say gampa?  He thought so too.

It was neat to us because he doesnt really know that name.  Both of our dad's have passed away.  Yes, we talk to him about them but they just arent around so he can learn that name.  So to hear him say it, and us knowing we were going to do the work of sealing my dad to his parents was a surprise, overwhelming, lack of coming up with another word right now, neat.  He knew Gampa was going to be with us that day!

How blessed we are to be able to go to the Temple and do work for our ancesters and to be sealed to family for Eternity!  I am so thankful that Tim and I are sealed together and that we can be with our family FOREVER.  For me knowing that we are going to be together for Eternity makes things we go through here a little easier to get through.  It is only a tiny speck of what will have waiting for us!!!

I LOVE MY FAMILY!!

Cincinnati Trip

We needed to get away for just a weekend.  This is a mini vacation since we did not get to really go anywhere over the summer.  (Which would be because of all the house issues and getting that done.)  We went with a family in our ward at church.  It was so much fun!

We found a place called Jungle Jims.  I suggest anyone who goes to the north part of Cincy to go there.  It is a market that has food from all over the world.  We spent 2 hours there just looking at all the different things they have there.  Their selection of cheese was overwhelming, at least 3 isles full of it!  Then all around the main store are smaller shops, one of which is a pet store that has the cutest puppies.  One was an english mastif.  I totally want one!!

We also discovered IKEA.  That just happens to be one of my favorite stores!  It a bummer we do not live too close to one, but I guess that could be a good thing.  Not only do they have a huge selection on things, but good prices and even a place for food!  You could spend all day there!

We also went to the Aquarium.  I love that place.  There are lots of turtles there.  Since it was close to Halloween, they had specials there like: Underwater sword fighting pirates, underwater pumpkin carvings,  and mini pumpkin decorating for the kids.  It was a blast!!!

Swimming in the hotel was so much fun!
Stevie loved it.

You know me, trying to get him to swim!!

These are the pictures from the aquarium

Love this huge puffer fish, they are my favorite fish!

Adalyn loved tyring to get the fish, she's getting so big

Always have to have a turtle picture!

Notice this crab is as big as Adalyn

They had pirates carving pumpkins underwater!  It was fun to watch.
The big fish around would eat the pieces.

Stevie loved trying to touch the sharks.

Pumpkin Patch

Stevie in search for the best pumpkin!  (I promise this is a pumpkin patch, I know there are none in the picture though!)

Could not get him to stop chewing on his jacket

This is his pumpkin!

This is the one that Tim loved!  He thought it looked like a butt!  He did not choose it because it had started to rot inside.  However on the way home he decided he should have taken it and another bigger one so he could make it look like it was sitting on a toilet.  BOYS!

Stevie loves pumpkins.  Every time we passed one while we were driving he would should punkin!  So we thought going to the patch would be a blast.  He got tired after a few minutes and then wanted to be carried.  So I guess that plan did not work after all!!!

Who's bath time is it????

A couple of Sunday's ago Tim asked Adalyn if she would like to take a bath.  (of course she cant answer yet!)  So he prepared to give her one in the sink.  Stevie LOVES baths.  He would live in one if we let him and upon hearing Tim ask if Adalyn wanted a bath, proceeded to strip off his clothes and diaper.  We would not let him get into the sink, he's too big of course, so he pulled up a chair and played in the water with her.  I was in their room getting church clothes ready and I guess some one came to the door.  So I went to the kitchen to watch the kids while Tim talked to a neighbor and guess what I found . . . . . .

Yes, Stevie had gotten into the sink with Adalyn!  She clearly is having a great time, despite the lack of room!

Since there was no room for Adalyn to move, we filled up the other side of the sink for Stevie to play in.

Who would of thought that bath time would be so much fun!!  At least she was such a good sport about it all!  That really made my day!!!
